Dinner with my family at Stingaree Restaurant, just a stone’s throw from the MiaPesca Fishing Lodge on the Bolivar Peninsula, gave us all an unexpected laugh last weekend. Our waitress said she recognized me! My head immediately got a little bigger until she told me “HOW” she recognized me.
A couple of months prior, while on a solo fishing outing, I launched my boat and activated the power pole to keep it in place while I parked the trailer. When I walked back to the dock, I saw my boat floating about 50 years from the dock, out in the middle of the water. Of course, I had no choice but to jump in to retrieve her! Little did I know that several restaurant employees watched on and cheered when I climbed on board. Apparently, some, including our waitress, even managed to take video of my mis-adventure.
